Day 01: Paro – Thimphu

The flight to Paro is one of the amazing experiences while traveling to Bhutan. You will get a chance to see panoramic views of the Himalayas and other famous peaks while landing at the airport. The experience of landing at Paro Airport is one of its kind as you will have a glimpse of Bhutanese foothills, few steep turns to land at this amazing and small airport in Bhutan.

On Arrival, The representative from Bhutan Everest Tours & Treks will receive you at airport and drive to Thimphu.

Drive to Thimphu, the busiest tourism hub of Bhutan. Driving distance is 65 kms and time taken would be 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Check in Hotel in Thimphu. In the evening, free time to explore the Thimphu town.

Dinner and Overnight at the Thimphu hotel.

 

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including a visit to the National Memorial Chorten. Continue on to Buddha statue and BBS Tower, Craft Bazaar where craftsmen and artisans from across the country display and sell their handicrafts and National Textile Museum.

After lunch, visit Tashichhodzong (the administrative headquarters of Bhutan). Preservation center in Motithang and Changangkha Lhakhang.

Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel in Thimphu.

 

Day 03: Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast drive to Paro. On the way to Paro, visit the Tamchog Lhakhang.

After lunch visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum which in the past served as watch tower for the Paro Dzong, the Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Dinner and Overnight stay in the hotel at the Paro.

 

Day 04: Paro Sightseeing

After early morning breakfast, you will be starting a Excursion tour to Taktshang Monastery. Taktshang Monastery also known as Tiger’s Nest is an amazing Buddhist monastery, temple and sacred site is located in the upper Paro town. Built in 1692, Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated at this site for 3 years. Guru Padmasambhava is known to be the founder of Buddhist religion in Bhutan. He is immensely respected and has a huge number of sacred followers in Bhutan.

Dinner and Overnight at the Paro hotel.

 

Day 05: After breakfast drive to Paro airport for your onward flight.
